Crown Agents Ukraine and Crown Agents Japan, through JICA's Grant Aid Programme for Emergency Recovery, delivered textbooks and modern learning equipment to schools across Ukraine on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science.
The ongoing war in Ukraine has severely disrupted the education of millions of children. Thousands of schools have been damaged or destroyed, and many have lost access to basic teaching resources and modern learning technologies.
Through the Grant Aid Programme for Emergency Recovery provided by the Government of Japan via JICA, Crown Agents Japan, working closely with Crown Agents Ukraine, is supporting the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to restore and modernise learning environments across the country.
Hundreds of thousands of textbooks for 5th grade students, including Ukrainian and world literature, have been procured and distributed nationwide, alongside large-scale deliveries of equipment such as:
85 multifunctional printers and 85 projectors, each supplied with replacement lamps and filters
85 interactive complexes for digital learning and 425 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units to keep classrooms functional during power cuts
STEM and robotics kits for 5th and 6th grade students, along with TETRIX robotics sets and expansion kits
3D printers and Mozabook software licences, enabling interactive science and design classes
The equipment allows teachers to deliver interactive lessons and keeps classrooms running during power outages, laying the foundation for digital and STEM-oriented education beyond the immediate recovery period.
Crown Agents Ukraine is responsible for procurement and logistics coordination for this project, financed under Japan's Grant Aid for Ukraine's Emergency Recovery Programme.
