The Ukraine Children’s Resilience Fund supports organisations working with children and families affected by the war. More than 3,000 individual and group consultations and activities have been delivered through supported projects, reaching over 5,600 children, caregivers, professionals and other participants.
Supporting children during wartime requires more than a single type of intervention. Effective assistance needs to combine psychological and social support with physical rehabilitation, education, opportunities for development and the creation of safer environments.
This approach is at the core of the Ukraine Children’s Resilience Fund, which supports organisations specialising in assistance to children.
Through Fund-supported initiatives, more than 3,000 group and individual consultations and activities have been delivered.
The programmes covered a broad range of areas, including:
physical rehabilitation;
social integration;
cultural activities and trips;
financial literacy;
art therapy;
mine safety education;
first aid and pre-medical assistance;
history courses;
discussion clubs;
language courses.
In total, more than 5,600 children, parents and caregivers, psychologists, NGO staff, police officers and social workers participated in the supported activities.
The Fund also assesses how these services affect participants. According to survey results, 93% of respondents, including caregivers, children and adolescents, reported feeling more confident and safer after accessing services delivered through Fund-supported projects.
The Ukraine Children’s Resilience Fund is not limited to a single form of assistance. Its model enables different organisations and approaches to be supported according to the specific needs of children and communities.
Crown Agents Ukraine supports the implementation of the Fund and its partner organisations, contributing to an environment in which children can access the assistance they need, recover from difficult experiences and feel safer.
