Through the Children’s Resilience Fund and the Procurement of Perinatal Equipment programme, implemented by Integrity Action in partnership with Crown Agents Ukraine, modern medical equipment has been delivered to perinatal centres in 11 regions of Ukraine to support newborns requiring specialised care.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has faced a significant deterioration in its demographic situation. Around 80,000 fewer children are born each year, while many newborns require additional medical support during the first days and weeks of life.
Against this backdrop, equipping Ukraine’s perinatal centres with modern medical technology is increasingly important, enabling doctors to provide timely and specialised care to newborns.
Through the Children’s Resilience Fund and the Procurement of Perinatal Equipment programme, implemented by Integrity Action in partnership with Crown Agents Ukraine, modern medical equipment has been delivered to perinatal centres across 11 regions of Ukraine.
The equipment supplied includes:
high-frequency oscillatory ventilators;
AVEA ventilators with integrated compressors;
InfantFlow SiPAP non-invasive respiratory support systems;
non-invasive bilirubin monitors.
This equipment supports the treatment and monitoring of newborns with respiratory complications and other conditions requiring intensive and specialised medical care.
Through the programme, more than 12,000 newborns have been able to benefit from improved access to modern diagnostic, monitoring and respiratory support equipment.
Crown Agents Ukraine, in partnership with Integrity Action, continues to contribute to strengthening the capacity of Ukraine’s healthcare system by helping medical facilities access critical equipment for some of their most vulnerable patients.
